Shopping jargon can be confusing. Here are the terms you will see most.

Promo code / voucher code

A code entered at checkout to reduce the price. Region names differ: the UK often says voucher code.

Cashback

A share of your spend returned later through a cashback site, after the retailer confirms the order.

Stacking

Combining more than one saving, such as a code plus loyalty points, where the store allows it.

Minimum spend

The basket total you must reach for a code to apply.

Price anchoring

Showing a high original price to make a sale price feel like a bargain.
